Ecentric Payment Systems has embarked on an expansion drive to provide transaction processing services in the wider Africa region.
As African markets develop, South African retailers are starting to open new stores in Africa at a rapid rate. As in South Africa, these new stores must offer a comparative checkout experience and integrated services at point of sale, such as bankcard acceptance, gift cards, prepaid and bill payments. With an established payment processing service in South Africa, recent entry into Lesotho and Swaziland, Ecentric is set to expand its payment services into other SADC regions such as Namibia, Botswana and Zambia. The objective is to enable existing South African Retailers to extend their integrated card acceptance capability into the rest of Africa.
