Ecentric has successfully migrated their back up systems to a fully dedicated data hub in Johannesburg. The site, commissioned in partnership with Verizon Business, mirrors the Cape Town site with all production systems replicated to match. Ecentric now offers a fully redundant processing and networking services.
A full Active/Active implementation, that took over two years to complete, ensures that downtime caused by system failures, networking issues or power failures at Eskom will have minimal impact on service at checkouts. Ecentric can now boast a near to 100% uptime for all their retail customers.
